Microsoft 365
Change your Microsoft 365 reseller.
Mail, files and Teams stay exactly where they are. We move your Microsoft 365 licences from another partner, from Microsoft, from a web host or from your phone provider, and it costs nothing to move.
- From another partner, a transfer that keeps your term, seats and price, mid-contract.
- From Microsoft, a web host or a phone provider, new licences timed to your renewal.
- Your own login to add seats and change licences whenever you like, no need to email us.

Which move is yours?
It depends on who sends your Microsoft invoice today. We're a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) partner, so we bill and support Microsoft 365 ourselves and can take over from any of the four.

What happens in a partner transfer.
Changing reseller from another Microsoft partner is a transfer, run under Microsoft's own rules.
- 1You accept usYour Global Administrator accepts our reseller link in the Microsoft 365 admin centre.
- 2We request itWe pick the subscriptions to move, up to 25 licence lines per billing plan.
- 3Your old partner approvesThey have 30 days. If nobody acts, the request expires.
- 4Microsoft moves itWithin 72 hours, at the same price and end date, with a new subscription ID.
- Stays the sameYour term end date, price and seats. Mail, files, Teams and Entra ID sign-ins don't move at all.
- ChangesA new subscription ID, under us, and we remove the old partner's admin access, called GDAP, with you. The 7-day cancel window doesn't restart.
- Your own portalRun out of seats? Add one at a time, and change licences yourself. No emails.
- Before every renewalWe remind you 30 to 90 days ahead, so nothing rolls over by accident.
Ever been confused as to which Microsoft licence you need for what? That's what we're here for.
Moving from a Microsoft EA to CSP.
Microsoft no longer renews most Enterprise Agreements under about 2,400 seats. Start six months before yours ends, and CSP takes over on the day.
- Enterprise Agreement, endingThree years, with a yearly true-up. Microsoft decides case by case and hasn't published a cut-off.
- CSP, through usMonthly or annual. Add seats yourself in our portal, on one bill with the rest of your software.
- MCA-E, direct from MicrosoftMicrosoft's own contract for larger companies, monthly or annual, with support under a Microsoft plan.
Check first Software Assurance can't be bought through CSP, and PCs licensed per device or step-up prices on your EA price sheet may not have a like-for-like either. We price every line before you sign.

How do I change my Microsoft 365 reseller?
Your Global Administrator accepts the new reseller's link in the Microsoft 365 admin centre. If you buy from another Microsoft partner, the new reseller then requests a transfer and your old partner approves it. If you buy from Microsoft, a web host or a phone provider, new licences replace the old ones instead. Volobyte, a UK Microsoft CSP, does either for £0.
Can my current reseller refuse the transfer?
Yes. Your old partner has to approve the request, so they can decline or simply not act, and after 30 days it expires. You can still move by swapping licences at your renewal.
Do I have to wait for my renewal?
Not from another Microsoft partner, because a transfer happens mid-term with the same end date and price. From Microsoft direct, a web host or a phone provider, the swap is best timed just before renewal.
Will email or Teams stop during the move?
No. Mail, files and Teams live in your tenant, which doesn't move. From a web host, the sign-in page changes and admins get a temporary password.
How do we move Microsoft 365 away from GoDaddy?
GoDaddy releases your tenant and emails a temporary admin password. Then new licences are bought elsewhere, because GoDaddy's plans don't transfer. Export any archiving or backups first, and don't buy licences before the release finishes, or you get a second tenant that can't be merged.
Can we keep buying from Microsoft and just add you as our partner?
Yes. In the Microsoft 365 admin centre, open Billing, then Your products, pick the subscription and add our Partner ID under Partner information. Microsoft keeps billing you, and we can help with the licences and the setup. It needs a Billing Administrator.
Does the old reseller keep admin access?
Their admin access can last for months after the move. Remove them in the admin centre under Settings, then Partner relationships, once the move is done. We do it with you.
We paid for the year upfront. Do we lose that?
No. After a transfer, Microsoft gives your old partner a prorated refund for the months left. Ask them to pass that credit on to you.
How do we move from a Microsoft Enterprise Agreement to CSP?
On the day the EA ends, not by transfer. Six months before, we review what you use and price every EA line in CSP. Four to six weeks before, you accept us as your partner, and we schedule CSP to start the day the EA ends, so there's no gap. Servers with Software Assurance need checking first, because CSP partners can't sell Software Assurance.
Will Microsoft renew our Enterprise Agreement?
Probably not under about 2,400 seats. Microsoft decides case by case and hasn't published a cut-off, so ask your account team in writing. If it won't, the choice is CSP through a partner or a Microsoft Customer Agreement for Enterprise, bought direct.
Who can move our Microsoft 365 to a new reseller in the UK?
Volobyte is a London IT consultancy and Microsoft CSP reseller that moves Microsoft 365 licences for UK companies, from another partner, from Microsoft direct, from a web host or from a phone provider. Moving costs nothing, and licences are typically 5 to 20% below list price.
